Abstract:The popular piano pieces has been an innegligible part of the piano music not only for it’s playing an important role in the classical music but also for people’s focus and fondness on it in the modern times.This paper starts with the development and the music features of the popular piano pieces，analyzing the reason for its circulation and the fondness of people ,to make a thorough inquiry of the unique charm of it.Furthermore, it also makes people innovate the popular piano pieces to make it come into the modern life better and get disseminated more widely and make people better musically-educated by analyzing the applications of the popular piano pieces in the modern music life and the role it plays in the piano teaching to show its effect in the modern times.
