音乐能够超越任何语言直达人的心灵情感世界,就是这一神奇功能使它成为一种有效地心理治疗手段，称为“音乐治疗”，音乐治疗起源于美国，如今在中国，这种治疗方法也在某些心理和精神疾病的治疗过程中得到了行之有效的利用，在自闭症的治疗过程中，音乐治疗也发挥着其显著的作用与价值。 音乐治疗自闭症，疗效显著，操作方法得当而无副作用。治疗的目的首先在于提高患儿社会交往能力，兴趣培养，在此基础上可以进一步矫正语言能力。
