摘要:民歌《孟姜女》是我国流传范围很广，影响力较大的传统民歌。民歌在社会流传的过程中会产生各种各样的变化，新民歌《孟姜女》是由作曲家王志信、词作家刘麟在80年代创作的声乐作品。它是根据江苏民歌《孟姜女》的曲调加以改编创作的，在保持民族音乐风格的基础上，运用西方作曲技法，把一首简单短小的民歌发展成为一首大气磅礴、感人至深的大型民族音乐风格的声乐歌曲。本文通过对民歌的发展、作品的历史背景、音乐风格及情感表达等方面作了阐述分析，使人们更全面、深入的了解这首民歌的艺术魅力。
