摘要
纸雕是一种有着悠久历史的以纸为媒介、使用刀具塑形的视觉艺术。近年来，民间传统纸雕艺术同其他非物质文化遗产品类一样，面临着创造传承群体的急剧萎缩和享用群体、享用范围的急剧缩小的严峻问题。对此，笔者希望通过“十二生肖纸雕”作品创作与设计，探讨传统民族民间工艺在当下文化生活中的具体价值，提示手工制作与创意在日常生活中的可能性。在研究传统纸雕艺术的基础上，通过构思，反复绘制草图，最终完成十二件以生肖为主的纸雕作品，通过设计创作，深入了解传统纸雕工艺的技术特点，认识纸雕艺术的美学价值。本设计最后的具体成果，不但是传统纸雕艺术与现代设计的一次实践和例证，而且也是可实际用于收藏、馈赠的设计产品为人们提供更丰富的家居装饰选择。同时其简单的材料和易学的技巧也可用于日常创意生活的推广。

ABSTRACT
The paper art, which is a kind of visual art made of paper by knife, has a long history. In recent years, as other non-material cultural heritage, traditional folk paper art is facing with serious problems in which the number of creators and consumers is declined sharply. Thus, I try to argue the value of traditional folk arts and crafts in contemporary culture life, and prompt possibilities of handmade in daily life by creating and designing Zodiac Paper Art. Based on researching traditional paper art, I sketched repeatedly with imagination, and finally completed 12 works on the topic of zodiac. During the creating processes, I mastered the skills, and understood the aesthetic value of traditional paper art. The works are not only experiences or proves for the combination between traditional paper art and modern design, but also to give more alternative for decorations as kinds of collections or presents. At the same time, they can be applied in daily creative life wildly due to their common materials and easy skills.
