Abstract: As a famous English writer of children's literature, Frances Hodgson Burnett tells the readers a simple principle: each boy can have a happy childhood and each girl is the most beautiful princess, which is typically reflected in one of her representative works: A Little Princess. This paper focuses on the charisma of Sara’s personality and its influences on others to offer a clear idea about Sara. Sara, the protagonist in A Little Princess, seems inborn with rich imagination. This peculiarity makes her welcome by everyone. Besides, Sara can treat everything with reason and consequently gains a lot from life. What’s more, Sara has the persevering spirit when she is in an awkward situation. This makes her has the temperament of a real princess. All the above contributes to Sara’s overwhelming charisma which exerts an important influence on others, including her friends, enemies and readers.

摘要：作为英语世界著名的儿童文学作家，弗朗西斯•霍奇森•伯内特告诉读者一个简单的道理：每个男孩都应该有个快乐的童年，每个女孩都是美丽的公主。《小公主》这本小说典型地体现了这一点。这篇论文主要论述主人公萨拉的人格魅力及其人格魅力对其它人的影响，由此让人们更清楚的了解萨拉。女主人公萨拉似乎拥有与生俱来的丰富的想象力，这使她无论走到哪里都受到欢迎。其次，萨拉遇事冷静沉着，因此从生活中获益良多。另外，无论萨拉遇到什么样的困难，她都能表现出一种坚忍不拔的精神。这也使她拥有了一种真正的公主气质。以上所述构成了萨拉强大的人格魅力，其人格魅力对其他人有很重要的影响，包括她的朋友，敌人以及读者。
