Abstract:In 1989, Joy Luck Club was published and won a lot of praises in America. The novel, which was written by Amy Tan, involves four mothers with different miserable lives in China. After they went to America to start their new lives, they found it was so difficult to communicate with their daughters who were born and raised in American environment. The mother-daughter relationship becomes the moral core in the novel. What’s more, the relationship implies special reasons, which needs to be fully discussed.
Those American citizens of Chinese-origin have a very complex inner world. They are typical marginal people. They get confused when the two cultures have a fight. When the daughters grow up, they find it more and more difficult to position their identities, or we could say their belongings.
The Chinese images, together with the psychological description, are a good example to use the advantage of both writing skills to illustrate a good story. This combination arouses people’s interest as well as makes them feel natural and real
Joy Luck Club contains the good wish and the simple rule to live happily, no matter how bad a day you have. All those above can prove the success of this great work by Amy Tan.

摘要:《喜福会》一书于1898年在美国出版，各界赞誉接踵而来。这部由华裔作家谭恩美撰写的作品讲述了四位母亲在中国曾经的不同悲惨遭遇。当她们到达美国并且开启她们的新生活时，她们发现与自己在美国环境下出生和长大的女儿们难以沟通，本书中突出的母女关系成为了全文的道德核心，其背后的特殊原因将会被仔细讨论。
除此之外，华裔作为一群特殊人群，在两种文化的冲突矛盾下常常茫然若失，他们的内心体验非常丰富。《喜福会》中的女儿们出生并且接受美国的文化，但是却是中国人的样子，她们对于自己的归属感到困惑。
《喜福会》中，中国化的意象以及外国典型的心理描写相结合，使得全文故事饱满，细节突出，是吸引广大读者的重要原因。
最后,《喜福会》中所体现喜悦幸福的美好愿望，以及所有上面的分析，都是《喜福会》一书成功的重要因素。
