Abstract: Nowadays tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. With the acceleration of global economic growth and international exchanges, the transnational tourism has become an important trend. But the development of tourism in China is still on an initial stage compared with developed countries for lack of experience and efficient management. The booming of tourism leads to a host publications of tourism publicity materials. The main purpose of tourists is to get a better understanding of Chinese culture, which demands the translation of tourism materials from the cultural perspective. However, a large number of problems appear in currently translated tourism materials owing to various factors. Despite voices calling for changes in correcting these problems, the poor translation quality still poses a serious problem for the further development of tourism in China. The author attempts to explore suitable methods to deal with these problems with some concrete and workable translating techniques.

摘要:现在旅游业已经成为世界上发展的最快的行业之一。随着全球经济和国际交易的加速发展,跨国旅游已经成为一个重要的趋势。但是中国的旅游业的发展和发达国家相比仍然处于一个初级阶段,它缺乏经验和有效的管理。然而,中国数千年文化的魅力和中国的改革开放政策不断吸引着大量的外国游客来到中国。旅游业的飞速发展带动大量旅游宣传资料出版,游客最主要的目的是为了更好的了解中国文化。这就要求旅游资料的翻译要从文化角度介绍中国文化。然而由于各种原因,大量的问题在翻译成外语的旅游资料中出现。即使外界要求改善这类错误的呼声强烈,但是较差的译文质量仍然对中国未来旅游业的发展来说是一个很严重的问题。作者将尝试探索可使用的方法,并用一些具体可行的翻译方法解决这些问题。
