Abstract: With the rapid development, China has witnessed the emergence of large quantities of political and economic words and phrases with Chinese characteristics. The proper translation of these words will contribute to the exchanges between China and other countries. This study aims to investigate English translation of words with Chinese characteristics. With the analysis on some recognized and representative words with Chinese characteristics, as well as the words used by the mainstream media at home and abroad, several strategies are summarized. By introducing the reports of the media at home and abroad, readers can recognize how to achieve more accurate and idiomatic English translation.

摘要：本文将主要分析中国特色词汇英译，介绍一些已受到公认并具有代表性的中国特色词汇，再根据国内外主流媒体对中国特色词汇的翻译，总结相关策略。通过介绍国内外权威媒体的实际报道并对此总结，读者能够认识到词汇的英译如何更加准确、地道，了解中国特色词汇在英语交际中是怎样被转换、使用的，逐渐融合进传统英语中的，以满足人们日常生活中用英语交流的需要。
