Abstract:It is incumbent on all nationalities to maintain the peaceful, stable and harmonious development of human being and build a harmonious world. As economic giants, China and the United States play significant roles in today’s political stages. The relationship between them will directly affect the peace and stability of the world. Their stable development will benefit not only for their cooperation in other fields, but also for the peace and development of the world. This thesis tries to analyze the factors of the divergence of their political culture from the angle of history and ideology so that more of the basic causes of harmony and conflict in Sino-American relationship can be known. It is going forward in the twists and merging in the contradictions. Harmony and conflict are the key themes that run through their development.

中文摘要:本文作者尝试从中西方政治文化产生差异的历史和思想根源的原因的角度，分析在中美关系的发展过程中受政治文化差异影响的因素，包括：政治意识形态、宗教价值观，民族主义，文化开放性，趋同的基本价值观和相近的思维模式。构建和谐世界，维护世界的和平与稳定成为当代人类最重要的任务。而中美在两国作为当今世界政治舞台上起重要作用的国家，两国的双边关系变化将直接影响到整个世界的和平与稳定。两国的稳定发展不仅有利于两国在重要领域的合作，对世界的和平与发展也有着重要的意义。中美关系在曲折中前进，在矛盾中融合。由此可见，和谐与冲突是始终贯穿于两国发展的主题。
