Abstract：Culture covers many aspects, among which language is the most effective one to the characteristics of an area or a nation, that is, language can spread the rich cultural deposits of the place out. The cultures between the West and East are often said to be different. They are often distinguished by a rather large gap. This not only means to be different in the opinions or ways of thinking. Virtually, the behaviors in people’s daily life are different, or sometimes even totally distinct.
Literature, as an important medium of the culture communication of human, should be properly translated. The original writing intentions of the writer should be passed to the readers by an easy- understandable and applicable way. Therefore, a good cultural quality is one of the necessary qualities the translators should hold. Only after the translators fully recognize the culture differences can they finish the translation works more perfectly and at the same time, prevent mistranslation which resulted by culture differences in many areas such as customs, religion, and politics.
In this thesis, some examples of culture differences will be show in order to talk about the skills and techniques of literary translators in literary translation.

中文摘要：文化涵盖很多方面，其中语言最能反映一个地方或一个民族的特色，也就是说语言可以展现此处的文化底蕴。东方与西方的文化通常都被认为是存在差异的，双方的文化之间都存在着一个很大的鸿沟。这种差异并不仅仅意味着双方的思想或者思考方式上的差异。事实上，人们在日常生活上的行为也不尽相同，有时甚至是大相径庭。
文学作品作为人类文化交流的一种重要媒介，需要良好的翻译技巧，将作者最原始的写作意图以一种易于理解，适用于对方文化的方式传达给读者，所以良好的文化素质是翻译工作者所必备的一种素质，翻译人员只有在认清这些文化差异后，才能更加好地完成翻译工作，避免因为习俗，宗教，政治等等方面存在的文化差异而造成错译和误译。
在本论文中，我们将列举一些文化差异的典型例子来浅论文学翻译者的翻译技巧。
