Abstract:Tony Morrison is a great black writer. She won the Pulitzer Prize in 1988 for Beloved and in 1993 she became the first black female writer who won the Nobel Prize for literature. The Bluest Eye is her first masterpiece. This novel narrates the hard growth process of Pecola, a miserable black girl who lives on the frontier of the society which under the control of white’s aesthetic standards. This tries to analyze The Bluest Eye from the initiation perspective, so as to reveal the confusing and helpless growth of the black girl. Meanwhile, the paper attempts to point out that family and society have a significant influence on the black women’s developing process. Their growth should be given due attention and concern.

摘要:托尼·莫瑞森是二十世纪著名的黑人女作家。她于1988年凭借《宠儿》获得普利策文学奖,并且在1993年成为第一位获得诺贝尔文学奖的黑人女作家。《最蓝的眼睛》是托尼莫里森的处女作。小说讲述了一位处于社会边缘的黑人小女孩佩克拉在白人审美标准巨大影响下的艰难成长历程。本论文从成长小说的角度分析《最蓝的眼睛》,从而展现黑人小女孩困惑、无助的成长历程,并且指出家庭和社会在黑人女性成长过程中的重大引导作用。黑人女性的成长应当受到应有的重视和关注。
