Abstract：Due to the uncertainty of objectives’ cognition and individual’s different point of views to observe the objectives or incomprehensive understanding, fuzzy language becomes an inevitable existence. News is an important channel for the public to understand the latest social events and their development. Accuracy is the basic feature of news language, but this is not opposite the wide existence of fuzzy language in news. Based on the study of fuzzy language in 2012 political news on BBC website, the thesis probes the translation principles and skills of fuzzy language in political English news from the perspective of fuzzy linguistics, and proposes that in the process of E-C translation of fuzzy language in political English news, the translator should follow the principles of readability, fidelity, timeliness, variability and employ proper translation skills according to whether there are corresponding or similar expressions in Chinese.

摘要：由于客观实体边界的不明确性，人们对事物观察的不同角度或缺乏全面的认识，从而使模糊的语言形式成为一种必然的存在。新闻是当今人们了解最新社会事件及其发展动态的重要渠道，准确性是新闻语言的基本特征，但这不能影响模糊语在新闻中的广泛客观存在。本文以BBC网站的2012年度时政新闻中模糊语为研究对象，从模糊语言学的角度来探讨英语新闻报道中模糊语的翻译原则和翻译策略，提出在时政英语模糊语的英汉翻译过程中，译者应遵循可读性、忠实性、及时性、可变性的原则，根据汉语中是否有对应的或类似的模糊语来选择翻译方法和技巧。
