ABSTRACT:Nowadays, more and more literatures written in foreign languages have been translated into Chinese. However, most of them are translated badly. Many readers are confused by the mistranslations because they can’t understand the original version’s real meanings. It will have bad influence on the cultural communication between different countries. This article takes Tom Clancy’s The Hunt for Red October for example, and criticizes the quality of the Chinese version (translated by Prof. Zhang Zhaozhong). Samples with analysis and correction are selected to show how badly the translator has done his job. The article meanwhile concludes that what kind of behavioral factors can cause a bad translation quality.
The mistranslation problem is happening everywhere in the world. However, because of the cultural and lingual difference, people seldom pay attention to it. So the author writes this dissertation to compare a Chinese version with the original version carefully and seeks out all the mistakes, and concludes the causes of these mistranslations, hoping it could draw all translators’ attention to the translation quality by avoiding the several behavioral factors mentioned in the dissertation.

摘 要:当今社会，引进中国并译制的外语文学作品日渐增多。然而多数作品的翻译质量不佳，令读者在阅读时一头雾水，无法领略国际名家名著原意，何谈享受阅读乐趣。如此现状不利于国际文化的交流。本文以汤姆·克兰西的作品《猎杀“红十月”号》为例，批评了中文版（由张召忠教授主译）的粗制滥造。文章着重分析了导致翻译质量低下的数个行为因素，按类区分并在例句后附有浅析与纠正，以供参考与商榷。
翻译质量问题充斥世面，但是由于文化及语言差异，人们很少对此加以关注。因此作者在此比较上述著作的原文版和译文版，将所有译错之处罗列，分析以及纠正，并且概括出导致错误发生的种种因素，主旨就是希望能够引起诸多译者注意，避免文中所提的数种行为因素，提高译制品质量。
