Abstract:Language contact is a common social phenomenon. Languages come into contact with each other owing to many factors, such as culture exchange, trade, military conquest, migration, etc. Language contact can have a variety of outcomes, and one of the most predominant outcomes is borrowed words.
Borrowed words are words taken from other languages. Borrowed words exist in nearly every language. With fast development of China, the frequency of using English borrowed words was found to have increased rapidly in Chinese in the past few decades, particularly in the realms of technology and communication, pop culture and entertainment, and politics. This paper mainly focuses on the mixing use of English borrowed words and Chinese and its influence on Chinese social culture.

摘要:语言接触是一种普遍的社会现象。由于文化的交流，贸易，军事侵略，移民等多种因素，使语言之间能相互接触。语言接触能产生许多结果，其中尤为突出的是词语的借用。
借词是从其他语言借来的词汇。几乎任何一种语言都存在外来词汇。随着中国的快速发展，英语外来词近年来在汉语中的使用频率越来越高，尤其在科学，通信，文化，娱乐，政治等领域较为突出。本文主要研究英语外来词与汉语的混合使用，及其对中国社会文化的影响。
