Abstract:Recently, more and more English songs have been brought into Chinese music field. However, many people don't like English songs because they can't understand the meaning of the song lyric. So translating the lyric of English songs into Chinese is significant. The goal of this thesis is to find some ways to make the song lyric translation credible and graceful. It also attempts to make the translated lyric convenient for singing. And this paper could give some useful references for people who want to translate song lyric. It deals with many aspects of song lyric translation and gives some ways to translate English song lyric well. It doesn’t spend much research on recondite and boring theories. It gets some conclusion about how to translate a song lyric and what should be paid more attention through practice. The writer takes abundant English song lyric as examples in order to get some beneficial conclusion from these examples in song lyric translation.

摘 要:近年来，越来越多的英文歌曲涌入了中国音乐领域。在很多歌曲脍炙人口，受到人们喜爱的时候，仍然有很多人不喜欢英文歌曲，究其原因，多半是由于无法理解英文歌词的意思造成的。所以英文歌词的翻译，实为一件十分有意义的事。本文旨在寻求一些方法来使得英文歌词的翻译更加准确优美。从而使通过翻译以后的歌词更适于演唱。同时能为那些想要翻译英文歌词的译者提供一些参考。本文对英文歌词的研究涉及到很多方面，并且对如何翻译好英文歌词提供了很多方法。作者并没有花费大量精力在晦涩的翻译理论上，而是通过实践得出一些观点来知道如何翻译，告诉读者应该如何翻译英语歌词或者应该多注意哪些方面，并通过以大量英文歌词为例子，并对这些实例进行分析，在英文歌词翻译方面得出很多有益的结论。
