Abstract:In the Information Age of the 21st century, the wide application of multimedia technology and the advent of the Internet create new opportunities for language learning and they also have become important tools in learning English, thereby expand possibilities for using them to support English listening. As one of the basic skills of English study, listening plays an important role in it. What’s more, English News listening is a difficult and important part of English listening. So, improving English News listening ability plays a key role in the process of English study. This paper tries to explore how to apply multimedia resources in enhancing the English News listening ability. Firstly, it is an introduction on listening and English News listening in order to prove the importance of them. Then it is to introduce media and multimedia resources with the support of Humanism theory and Interactive theory. Thirdly, this paper discusses the application of multimedia resources in enhancing the English News listening ability, which is a more prominent way comparing with the traditional listening ways. The learners could benefit a lot from some skills of English News listening on the base of multimedia resources. And all the advantages that multimedia resources bring to English News listening could be the further proof of the integration.

中文摘要:在21世纪这样一个信息时代,多媒体技术的广泛运用和网络的出现为语言的学习创造了新的机会,并已经成为学习英语的重要工具,从而扩大了用来提高我们的英语听力的可能性。听力作为英语听说读写中的四大基本技能之一,在英语的学习中是非常重要的,而英语新闻听力又是我们听力中的一大难点和重点。因此,提高英语新闻听力对我们的英语学习起着关键的作用。本论文意在探索如何利用多媒体资源来提高我们的英语新闻听力。作者首先从听力和英语新闻听力着手,意在说明二者的重要性。接着在人文理论和互动理论的基础上介绍了多媒体及多媒体资源。通过与传统听力方法的对比来突出利用多媒体资源这一现代方法提高新闻英语听力的优势。听力学习者能够从基于多媒体资源的听力训练中获益匪浅。多媒体环境下英语新闻听力的一些技巧及利用多媒体资源提高英语新闻听力的种种优点进一步证明了这种结合的有效性。
