Abstract: Clothing, as a kind of cultural heritage, plays a decisive role in cross-cultural communication. Chinese and western clothing have penetrated a profound national culture and formed a unique style and system after thousands of years. This paper focuses on the differences in color, structure and design, material, pattern and ornaments of Chinese and western clothing, and probes into the causes from the point of view of their differences in geographical environment, traditional culture, idea of dressing and aesthetic standard. Based on the analysis, the thesis finally stresses the importance of clothing in cultural exchange and draws a conclusion that strengthening the blend of Chinese and western culture has an important significance in the internationalization of national clothing.

摘要：服饰，作为一种文化遗产，在跨文化交际中发挥着举足轻重的作用。中西方服饰经过数千年的历史积淀更是渗透了一个国家和民族深厚的文化底蕴，也形成了各具特色的风貌和体系。本文将着重阐述中西方服饰在颜色、造型、面料、图案及装饰方面的差异，并从各自的地域环境、文化传统、穿着理念和审美观念等角度探讨形成差异的原因。通过这些论述，本文将强调服饰在世界文化交流中的重要性并得出结论：加强中西方文化的交融对本民族服饰的国际化具有重要意义。
