Abstract：Learning English poems is one of the effective methods to improve our English level, and learning the rhythm of English poetry plays a key role during this period. Sometimes it is even the crucial factor that determines whether we could learn poems well or not. The present paper takes some classical English conventional poems to illustrate the two main elements of the rhythm of English poetry: metre and foot. Foot is then classified into two groups according the stress and number. Finally, generalizes some primary types of English rhythm’s patterns.

摘要：学习英语诗歌是提高英语水平的一条重要途径，而英诗节奏的学习在这一过程中扮演着极其重要的角色，有时它甚至决定了我们是否能学好诗歌。本文引用了一些经典英文诗歌来介绍在英诗节奏中的两大基本要素：韵律和音步，并且依据重音和音步数量给音步作了分类，最后概括归纳了英诗中几种常见的节奏类型。
