ABSTRACT:English learning is an important part of college students' education. And motivation is a factor that determines success or failure of foreign language learning. There are numerous researches on English learning motivation at home and abroad, but few are conducted on TCFL majors.
This essay first reviews the research in this field at home and abroad and then researches and analyzes the overall situation of the TCFL majors' English learning motivation. Questionnaire, interview and classroom observation are adopted in this research. The subjects are 120 TCFL majors in Honghe University. This research intends to discover: the situation of the TCFL major students’ English learning motivation and the main factors that affecting students' English learning motivation. It is hoped that the study can help the teacher understand the students' motivation more deeply and finally puts forward some suggestions concerning these problems.

摘要:英语是大学生素质教育的一个重要组成部分。动机又是影响第二外语学习成功与否的重要因素。国内外有关英语学习动机的研究很多，但针对对外汉语专业英语学习动机的研究却很少。
本文首先回顾了国内外学者对英语学习动机的研究状况，然后以问卷、访谈及课堂观察的形式对XX学院国际学院对外汉语专业大二、大三的120名学生的英语学习动机情况进行了调查和分析，并对影响该专业英语学习动机的主要因素进行讨论，提出一些建议，以期教师对学生的英语学习动机有更加深入的了解，并对学生的学习提供一定的帮助。
