ABSTRACT:As a popular culture, Hip-hop was created in the United States by African Americans. But its influence and popularity has been spread to the rest of the world. As a matter of fact, Hip-hop is becoming more and more popular in the world.
This thesis discusses the influence of the African-American character on Hip-hop to make people understand better Hip-hop and the relationship between Hip-hop and the African-American character. This influence is reflected in the following three aspects: First, the loving of and inclination to the traditions of the African Americans makes Hip-hop manifestation of the African-American culture. Second, the spirit of creativeness makes Hip-hop a black popular culture. Third, the rebellious character of the African Americans makes Hip-hop a way of rebellion against unequal treatment they receive in the United States.
Since the influence of the African-American character on Hip-hop is clear. When people are reading, studying and researching hip-hop, the influence of African-American character on hip-hop should not be ignored.

摘要:嘻哈作为一种大众文化,起源于美国,由非裔美国人所创造,但其影响已经扩大到世界范围,事实上,嘻哈以其无穷的魅力正受到世界上越来越多的人的喜爱。
本论文主要对非裔美国人的民族特性对嘻哈的影响进行探讨,使人们对嘻哈具有更深刻的认识,并能更好地理解非裔美国人的民族特征和嘻哈之间的关系。这种影响主要体现在三方面。首先,非裔美国人对传统文化的喜爱与坚守,使嘻哈呈现出很多非裔美国人的传统文化特点。其次,非裔美国人的创新精神,使嘻哈成为受众多人喜爱的黑人文化。最后,非裔美国人的反抗精神,使嘻哈发展成为一种非裔美国人反抗压迫,反对社会不公的武器。
非裔美国人的民族特性对嘻哈的影响是显而易见的,在认识和理解嘻哈这一独特的大众文化时,不应忽视这一影响。
