ABSTRACT:There is no doubt that most of the songs are shown in the form of literature, so the song lyrics translation is one of the important branches of the literary translation. Songs play an important role in recording people’s activities of daily life, emotions, thoughts and ideas. The communication between China and western countries is increasingly frequent，and music is the most popular one today. Many people love English songs, especially the young people. But most of them can’t understand the song lyrics accurately. There are just a few people who dedicated themselves in translating the English song lyrics into Chinese, and the study of the English-Chinese translation of song lyrics is even less. So the English-Chinese translation of song lyrics accordingly becomes very necessary.
It’s not easy to do well in English-Chinese translation of song lyrics for that the English-Chinese translation contains different cultural elements, understandings, meanings and expressions. There are many principles in song lyrics translation. Nowadays, many translators have basically reached a consensus on the faithfulness, the expressiveness and the elegance translation principles. We know that the common methods for song lyrics translation are literal translation and free translation. But the most important thing is how we put these principles and methods in practice.
Based on what are mentioned above, the author is going to make a detailed analysis of the English-Chinese translation of song lyrics. The author tries to draw a conclusion through contrastive analyzing the two Chinese versions of a song. The author delves into the similarities and the differences of Forever Friends. And then give an appropriate conclusion about how to deal well with the principles, methods, rhythms, rhymes and the music style on the English-Chinese translation of song lyrics

摘要:毫无疑问，大多数的歌曲是以文学的形式出现的，所以歌词翻译是文学翻译中重要的一个分支。歌曲在记录人们的各种情绪情感，思维和想法以及日常的生产生活活动中扮演着十分重要的角色。中国同西方国家的交流日益频繁，而音乐就是现在最流行的交流方式之一。很多人热爱英语歌曲，尤其是年轻人，但是他们中绝大多数的人都不能正确地理解歌词的含义。并且仅有少数的人翻译英语歌词，关于歌词汉译的研究就更少，所以英语歌词的汉译就显得十分必要了。
做好歌词的英汉翻译是件不容易的事，因为它涉及到人们生活的方方面面，包含了多种文化元素、理解、词汇意义和表达。歌词翻译有许多原则，如今翻译家们基本达成了信，达，雅翻译原则的共识。直译和意译是常用的歌词翻译方法。但是最为重要的是我们如何把这些翻译原则和方法用到实践中。
基于以上这些介绍，作者对歌词的英汉翻译作了详细的分析。作者试图通过对比分析歌曲《永远的朋友》歌词的两个汉语版本来探究他们的相同点和不同点，然后给出关于歌词英汉翻译方面关于怎样处理好翻译原则，翻译方法，节奏，韵律以及音乐风格等方面的恰当的总结。
