Abstract:This article is to explore the meaning of cultural imperialism, the basic values of American mainstream culture, and the US imperialism in Hollywood movies. Among the entertainment commodities, the film industry has the most far-reaching impact. American film is like a tornado sweeping across the world and changes the public's awareness of thinking and establishes the political hegemony of imperialism.
Through the comparison of several famous movies, readers can understand the US culture imperialism in the Hollywood movies and the cultural impact of imperialism on the world. At last, some vivid examples are set up in order to help readers have a better understanding of US imperialism in Hollywood movies.
