Abstract

 

"Pride and prejudice" is the masterpiece of Austin, is fundamental key with satire novel describes five different forms of marriage and love. Today, still attracts many readers, the novel has sparked the observation of the marriage and unlimited thinking.This article is through the detailed analysis of these five kinds of marriage, to explore the love and marriage in "pride and prejudice", the author thinks that: love marriage and property and social status relate to each other, but never can only depend on it, love, mutual understanding and mutual respect on the basis of marriage is happiness of marriage. Austen was both opposed to marriage for money and for hasty marriage. She stresses the importance of an ideal marriage and puts the relationship between men and women as the cornerstone of an ideal marriage.
