Abstract
The popular novel the Lady of the Camellias written by Dumas tells us a story that a girl who had a good-looking semblance and good innermost feelings was trampled to death. This novel not only has a huge influence on literature, but also makes undeniable contributions to the ideological field. This article analyzes Marguerite’s tragic fate and how she struggled to get rid of it from the perspective of Feminism. The article uses the Feminism as the main thread to present the process of obedience, resistance, climax and the finial failure, showing the awakening of Female self-consciousness and deepening the understanding of Feminism in the Lady of the Camellias.
