Abstract

 

In recent years, Chinese “The Belt and Road” strategy aims to develop economic partner relationship with countries along B&R, to create mutual economic interests. Therefore, intercultural business communication is becoming more and more frequent. In intercultural business communication, speech act has been paid more and more attention. Intercultural business communication cannot be separated from a specific context. Context directly influences the understanding and use of people’s communicative behaviors. In order to ensure the progress of intercultural communication and promote the development of foreign trade, it is necessary to analyze and study the importance of Chinese traditional cultural context in intercultural business communication. By analyzing the application of Chinese traditional culture in intercultural business communication, we can explore the application of intercultural pragmatics in a specific context and the related pragmatic strategies. The main purpose of this paper is to study the importance of Chinese traditional cultural context in intercultural business communication through the analysis of traditional cultural context in intercultural business communication, pragmatics in specific context and cooperation and politeness principle.
