Abstract
This study summarizes the students' training in normal English. Taking Yancheng Teachers College Foreign Language Institute as an example, the students' satisfaction with school education was investigated. The survey found that English majors were not satisfied with the overall satisfaction of the school, and were not satisfied with the cultivation of the practice and knowledge. Most students think that the training of knowledge is not enough, the cultivation of English talents to highlight the characteristics of both knowledge and English can be cultured. This research has solved two problems. First, is the training mode of English Majors in normal universities reasonable? Second, what kind of English teachers are needed in local primary and secondary school? Both students and teachers consider that there are many areas that need to be improved, especially in terms of competence and quality.
This study points out that the training of English majors must be combined with the development trend of English talents and the market demand to formulate training objectives, rationally set up professional courses, build English characteristic education system, strengthen the construction of teachers, teachers to build " The reform of the current teaching model, improve the teaching management system, combined with school teaching and social practice, to enhance the overall quality of students, from knowledge, ability, quality three aspects of the comprehensive promotion of English professional training. We should do as following: clear training purposes, optimize the curriculum, reform teaching mode and improve teaching quality, establish and improve the practice base, build a diversified student evaluation system.
