Abstract:In daily English classes, limited by the nature of language teaching, and the practicality of the activities in class, most English teachers tend to design activities for visual and auditory students, ignoring the need of kinesthetic students unconsciously, which may lead to a great gap between students with different learning types. In this research, an investigation is carried out to study the proportion of different types of students in 7 classes, all in grade 7 (Chengdu No. 7 Yucai Middle School). The author also interviewed 3 teachers about their opinions on this situation. Based on the findings from interviews and classroom observations, some suggestions on designing activities for kinesthetic students are provided in this study.
