ABSTRACT
Frankenstein is written by a 19th-century British writer, famous English Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley's wife, Mary Shelley. This is about a tale of a young scientist who creates the monster and ends in tragedy.
Based on the social background at the end of eighteenth century when the industrialization of Europe resulted in a rapid increasing of the middle class with dramatic changes in social stability, as well as the scientist Frankenstein, the monster itself and Marie Shelley's life experiences both in her and life, the thesis tries to track down the monster’s doomed tragic destiny.
