Abstract: With the continuous growth of China's economy, the international trading is increasing, especially between China and the United States, hence the business etiquette is of great importance. This paper analyzes some differences between Chinese and American business etiquette from four aspects: greeting etiquette, business communication, presenting gifts and post negotiation entertaining, and then discusses the causes of differences in such aspects as value, hierarchy, thinking and solution. Some suggestions are put forward, hoping that readers can deeply understand the business etiquette in international business between China and the America, and that they can achieve success in cross-cultural communication and international trading.
