Abstract: New words are produced with the appearance of social events. A lot of new words have been produced with the event of Brexit. This paper has specific research on vocabulary which is one of the most representative elements (that is , vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation) in English language. The paper starts with the reasons for the emergence of neologism. And then, the paper further analyzes the ways of word formation of the new words by taking the new words emerging in the event of Brexit as an example. Finally comes the translation techniques of English neologisms, that is literal translation.
