摘要：云南省是我国西部地区少数名族众多的省市之一。其足球运动水平在全国范围内一直处于较低水平。本文通过观察法、访谈法、问卷调查法、文献资料法等，从体育教师、教练员；校内足球的开展状况；学生自身的原因；场地器材；中学生足球的组织情况，这五个方面对建水县中学生足球的现状展开了调查，得出了学校家长的不够重视，学生本身的意识观念，教育部门和学校的比赛组织太少，学生互相交流少等很多阻碍建水县足球发展的因素。并提出了建议：大力对足球运动进行正面宣传；增加组织比赛次数；合理分配体育师资力量来加快建水足球的普及速度和水平提升。

足球运动是以脚支配球为主，但也可以使用头、胸部等部位接触球。两个队在同一场地内进行攻守的体育运动项目。一场精彩的足球比赛可以吸引成千上万的观众，它已经成为电视节目中的重要内容，有关足球的报道，占据着世界上各种报刊的很大篇幅，足球已经成为人们生活不可缺少的组成部分。足球运动是世界第一运动，是一项大众化运动。
随着我国足球职业化的开展，足球运动得到了一定的发展，但我国足球仍然处于一个不容乐观的局面，尤其是刚刚结束的2014年巴西世界杯预选赛中国队被淘汰，无不让人痛惜。青少年作为足球运动后备力量，开展青少年足球运动对足球发展是很有必要的。青少年足球后备人才培养在一个国家足球运动的发展中处于十分重要的战略地位。而基层学校是足球运动发展的起始阶段，是任何一个国家青少年足球后备人才培养体系的重要组成部分[1]。
