摘要：《孤独的守望者》是一个电视散文，它用短小的篇幅，以形散而神不散的表现手法展现了农村留守老人的生活现状。其主要内容描述了一个农村的留守老人从早到晚的真实生活，以时间为主线，用叙述的方式记录了这位老人一天所做的事，表现了留守老人艰难的生活和孤寂的内心。
本片全长13分51秒，无论是散文的创作还是画面的内容都是100%的原创。画面色调方面根据主人公的思想感情冷暖色调交替使用。处理上主要采用简单的衔接，表现自然，体现了电视散文的简单朴实的风格。在音乐的处理上以忧伤的背景音乐为主旋律，符合本片的基调。这些也是本片创作的创新之处。也希望能通过此片，让更多的人关注留守老人，给予他们更多的爱和关怀，让他们守望到真正的幸福。
《孤独的守望者》分为设计和论文两部分，设计部分以视频的方式呈现，利用视频处理软件Adobe Premiere cs3 、Adobe After Effects 7.0音频处理软件Adobe Audition 3.0等对其进行后期处理，真实的反应了留守老人的生活状况。其中如何运用非线性编辑软件把电视散文制作得富有感染力和吸引力，并使主体内容具有一定的现实意义和理论意义也是本设计研究主要探讨的问题。论文部分由绪论、编导阐述、制作流程、《孤独的守望者》的稿本及分镜头脚本、感悟与反思五部分组成，其中编导阐述是本论文的核心，主要从选题、拍摄、后期制作、镜头组接和配音配乐几个方面进行了详细的阐述。
