[摘要] 沈从文的作品中贯穿了“水”意象，通过对水意象的研究，看到他提出的人与自然“和谐共存”的理念，本于自然，回归自然的哲学。水世界里展现了健康、完善的人性，一种“优美和健康和自然，而又不悖乎人性的人生形式”，这正是他的全部创作的中心内容。透过水意象，我们认识到沈从文认为“美在生命”，醉心于人性之美，作品充满了对生命的哲学思考和对民族发展的隐忧，一如他那实在而又顽强的生命，给人教益和启示。

[Abstract] The "water" image penetrates Shen Congwen's works.Through the study of the water image,we know the harmony concept between human and nature and “back to nature” philosophy. Water world creates healthy and perfect humanity, a beauty, healthy and natural human life without against human nature, which is the central idea of all his creations. Through the water imagery, we understand that Shen Congwen has a concept that “real beauty is hidden in life”, engrossed in the beauty of human nature. the work is fully filled with philosophy of life and worry of national development, as his tough but dependable life, which gives us wisdom and inspiration.

在沈从文的作品里，他给我们描绘了一个美丽如画的水世界。沈从文钟情于水，他的作品与水密切相关。水是沈从文的创作背景，是他灵感的源泉。不仅仅如此，水是沈从文作品中一个主要的意象，是他作品的灵魂。沈从文热爱家乡湘西，湘西给他了创作的灵感；他信仰生命，崇尚顽强的生命力；推崇淳朴的人性，坚强、刚毅的人格，也正是沈从文自身人格的体现；作品中充满浓郁的孤寂忧郁的色彩，与他自身的个性及时代的发展密切相关；沈从文追求自然人性的理想，希冀构建乌托邦式的人生和美好的精神家园，心系苗族的发展，因过去的美好日渐消失而担忧。这些沈从文独特的思想都透过水反映了出来。
