[摘要] 凌叔华是中国“五四”时期女性作家的代表之一，她恰逢生活在一个新旧交替的时代，新旧文化思潮的冲突，导致凌叔华本身形成既传统又现代的综合体，她既有现代女性的追求，又有传统闺秀的气质，这两种精神在凌叔华的身上相互交融,形成了其既传统又现代的思想行为特征，影响着作家的思想和创作。从前人研究可以看出，近些年对凌叔华的研究得到了很多的关注，但是还存在不平衡的一面。例如，缺乏对凌叔华生活中传统与现代特质具体表现的考察，从而对其创作的影响。本文从凌叔华的成长教育的影响、作家道路的选择，对婚姻爱情的诉求等方面来看凌叔华所具有的现代与传统的双重身份和个性气质特征，从而具体分析其小说中的女性人物形象的独特性。本文主要分三章来论述。第一章：在现代女性与闺秀才女之间。第二章：女性形象塑造：新旧交织的人物形象。第三章：衔接“新”与“旧”——女性形象的独特性。
