摘要：《虚籁》是刘天华先生的代表作之一，是一首意境深远的琵琶名曲，其独具匠心的演奏技法使得整首乐曲别具一格，韵味十足。本人依据前人的经验和我自己对于这首乐曲的理解，尝试着对《虚籁》这首乐曲的演奏技法作进一步的分析与阐述，以便更好地求教于大方。同时，也希望对刘天华先生的创作思想、创作理念及创作特点有一定的认知，让自己对整首乐曲及其思想情感有更深一步的理解，为实际演奏带来一定的参考价值。其次，把刘天华先生同其他著名名族音乐创作大师的创作及演奏特点进行对比表现，感受刘天华先生的非凡创作才能，感受他对名族音乐的贡献，让更多的人领悟中国传统琵琶乐曲带来的独特与新颖。

在刘天华先生之前，我国名族音乐教学体制并不十分完备，也没有一套系统的、完整的教学方法。刘天华先生创办了国乐改进社，并提倡“中西合璧”的科学理念。他汲取了西方音乐特点，大胆运用五线谱记谱，同时运用练习曲和乐曲相结合的教学方法，对学生进行循序渐进的教学模式。
同时，他第一个在琵琶教学史上第一个编写了较系统的琵琶教材，并以15首琵琶基础练习曲代替在此以前“口传心授”的教学方式。这一举动，为后人编写更基础、系统琵琶基础练习，提供了很好的借鉴和可靠的依据。刘天华先生的琵琶音乐创作，为琵琶音乐由传统向现代的过渡起到可贵的承上启下作用，对琵琶音乐的创作产生深远影响。
