摘要：随着经济社会的迅猛发展，餐饮环境越来越受到消费群体的重视。人们除了希望餐饮环境能够满足基本用餐的需要，还希望餐饮环境能够满足休闲和交往的需要。餐饮空间幽雅舒适，有个性品位，便会得到顾客发自内心的赞许，从而赢得忠诚、回头率与顾客资源。事实上在现代社会，人们到中式餐厅用餐，除了要品尝中式菜肴的色、香、味，更希望能够体验正宗的中国文化氛围。本文分析了现代餐饮空间设计中的中国传统装饰元素，试图寻求切实可行的设计方法，以有助于形成特定主题的中式风格的餐饮空间形式。

ABSTRACT:With the development of society, people's demand for restaurant environment becomes more and more high. In addition to meet the needs of dining space, it has become a place for leisure, enjoyment and communication. Thus the spiritual function has risen as the main demand. People want it comfortable and elegant, with cultural taste, personality characteristics, comfortable feeling, making people being inspired by the spirit of the enjoyment.
China is the "cooking kingdom" known by the world, so people have dinner in Chinese restaurant, not only to enjoy the color, aroma, taste of Chinese dishes, but also to experience the authentic Chinese culture, appreciate the essence of Chinese culinary culture, taste the greatness of Chinese culture.
This essay analyzes the Chinese traditional decorative elements in the design of the modern dining space, trying to seek the feasible design method, in order to help Chinese restaurant space to form styles with specific themes.

中国传统装饰元素在现代餐饮空间设计中应用时，其装饰特征和创作手法，特别是细部处理，有两种技巧，即“繁”与“简”：
“繁”最大限度地直接利用传统装饰形式。具体而言，如果以“繁”直接使用传统装饰元素，需要注意以下两点：一要关注传统装饰元素的历史性，避免把不同时期、不同风格的装饰元素同时堆砌；二要注意契合现代装饰主题，传统装饰形式的选择要与现代装饰对象吻合，在陈设装饰、色彩装饰、造型装饰中因地制宜地选用切合主题环境的符号。
如果对传统装饰形式进行提炼和重构，以使现代空间体现一种传统性格，从而追求一种“形简而神似”的意境，这种处理手法即“简”。具体而言，运用“简”的手法间接使用传统装饰元素的做法要注意两点：一方面，抽取部分传统装饰图案是为了按照现代图案设计法则进行再创作；另一方面，将部分传统装饰图案进行现代形式感的抽象与变形，然后再按照传统图案设计手法进行组合。
