摘要:随着社会的发展，经济水平的不断提高，对生活质量的要求越来越高，对社会发展的状况研究越来越深入。城市居民市民化对新型城镇化背景下小城镇居民的市民化也凸显出重要意义，小城镇人口结构有单一向复杂发展，同时市民化的发展主体也发生了变化，社会工作者就小城镇的市民化有新的研究。新型小城镇所要解决的很重要的问题就是居民的市民化，新型小城镇下政府更加注重本地原著居民，农村居民，返乡农民工使其更加城镇化，使他们享有与城镇居民同等的权力与义务，促进社会和谐，实现我国城镇化水平。社会工作者深入到居民生活中了解居民的实际生活状况，为促进居民市民化起到了重要作用。新型城镇化背景下小城镇居民市民化的发展还需要社会工作者，就市政建设方面，服务平台的寻求与搭建要与实现居民市民化的需求相结合。小城镇居民的主体多样性，市民化的程度多层发展，对于社会工作者服务的主题的选取就应该适应本地需求。
