Abstract:Under the condition of the reform and opening-up policy of China, and globalization all over the world, communications between China and foreign countries become tighter and tighter. English which has been considered as a worldwide language has become our main tool to fulfill international communication. Thus, the position of English in the world emerges to be more important. Meanwhile, learning English serves as a way to meet the needs of this changing world. Writing can reflect the comprehensive ability in using a language. It is a process in connecting knowledge of language with language skills at the mean time. Also, writing can be an effective way to check the basis and expression ability of the Language which you have learnt. However, under the double influences of Chinese culture and thinking patterns, in the writings of Chinese English learners, the meaning is often expressed with obvious traces of Chinese, which is not in line with English customs. This is so-called Chinglish. Although a mass of researches have been done in this field now, the definition and causes still remain unclear. This paper gives a clear description of the features of Chinglish by offering examples, and analyzes the causes of Chinglish from language customs and thinking patterns aspect. At the end of this paper, some advices are proposed to help English learners to avoid the Chinglish in writing.

摘要:随着改革开放政策与全球一体化,我国与其他国家之间的交往越来越紧密。英语已发展为一门世界性语言,并成为我国对外交流的主要工具,英语的地位显得尤为重要。与此同时,学习英语已成为适应时代进程的要求。写作是对一门语言综合运用能力的体现,也是综合运用所学语言知识、语言技能等的过程,是检查所学的语言基础和表达能力的行之有效的方法。但是,由于受到中国文化和思维方式的双重影响,中国英语学习者在写英语作文时,表达的意思往往带有明显的汉语痕迹,不符合英语的语言习惯,这就是所谓的中式英语。尽管目前已有大量关于中式英语的研究,但是其中仍然存在着对中式英语定义不清和成因分析不明等问题。本文通过举例来呈现中式英语的特点,并且通过语言习惯和思维方式等方面来阐述中式英语产生的原因。在文章的最后,作者提供了几点建议来帮助英语学习者避免写作中的中式英语。
