A Red Red Rose, an outstanding masterpiece of Robert Burns’, praised the general public desire for sweet pure love. In the poem, the bright, imaginative and elegant language and the honest sincerest passion set off a powerful wave of human nature in 18th century in advocating rational, sentimental nostalgia to make the outstanding example for the 19th century romantic poetry, especially lyric poetry. Stacking with "Red" in the title is enough to show the poet's deep feeling to his lover. He proudly showed his lover's beauty with two metaphors: "That's newly sprung in June. O, my luve's like the melodie," We all know that rose is a symbol of beauty, pure, romantic, and devoted love. "Red "is a warm and lively color which show vitality of love. So, "O, my luve's like the melodie," further emphasizes the lovers’ beauty. At the same time, by depicting nature to express the poet’s love of nature. Both the new r blooming roses and the limitless sea show the poet’s advocates of nature. And the advocates, in turn, incisively and vividly express his lover's beautiful face and the desire for pure love. The concept of nature as "beauty" and "life" and "ideal state" abound in the creation of the later Romantic poetry, such as the famous sonnet of William Wordsworth (1770-1850, British poet), This Is A Beautiful Night. In addition, the free, musical rhythm in "Red, Red Rose" had greatly affected the later Romantic writers and laid a solid foundation for the creation of the 19th century romantic poetry, especially lyric poetry. The poet is always in the position of providing information, which reflects his sweet love to his lover like flowing spring water: the poet used red color, fragrant roses and beautiful melody, from sweet to passionate, like a flowing mountain stream, to cause the resonance of people. "Till a' the seas gang dry. And the rocks melt wi' the sun!" expresses the oath between lovers, and has the same purpose as "上邪". After savored these sentences, we will find out the vows of love is still everlasting. Robert burns processed A Red Red Rose according to the Scottish folk songs. It is easy to understand. It is natural but has complete form. The poem begins with a red rose and end up with the road to the end of the earth. Its turning points show the high insight of the poet to love, especially the oath that love is so loyal, sincere, and profound.
