Abstract: Skopostheorie is the most important theory in the German functionalism. It is the first rule for all translators to follow. This paper aims to give consumers a better and more comprehensive understanding of the product instructions. How to translate the product instructions successfully and make the consumers to understand them and use the products in the correct way is especially important. This paper also aims to analyze the relevant matters about translating product instructions, to help the consumers to read and achieve information in the product instructions, thereby narrowing the distance between products and consumers and establishing a brilliant image for a company.

摘要：目的论是德国功能派翻译理论当中最重要的理论，被认为是所有翻译所要遵循的首要法则。本文主要结合目的论，分析关于产品说明书的翻译。从而让消费者对说明书及其翻译能有更好更全面的认识。而如何翻译出使消费者能够成功阅读并正确使用该产品的说明书，也显得尤为重要。本文旨在分析说明书翻译的相关事宜，以便于消费者更好的阅读和捕捉说明书中的信息，从而拉近产品与消费者之间的距离，树立良好企业形象。
