Abstract: Learning motivation is an important concept in educational psychology. It is also an important proposition in vocational education research. It is an element which can directly promote students to learn. It plays a role to direct and drive students’ learning. It is a core in learning course. However, most scholars care about learning motivation of graduates, high-school students and pupils. But the students in vocational school are ignored. Considering the reality that for secondary school students, there is no inner force in English learning, and the difference to realize the goal to quality-oriented education. This paper investigates the present situation of the secondary vocational students’ learning motivation, analyzes the affecting factors on the basis of correlated theory. Lastly, the author suggests the ways to motivate students in English learning.

摘要:学习动机是教育心理学的重要概念,也是中职教育研究的一个重要命题。学习动机是促进学生进行学习活动的动因,对学习起着定向和内驱力作用,是学习过程的核心。但是,大多数学者关注大学生和中、小学生的学习动机,中等职业学校的学生被忽视了。针对目前中职生英语学习行为上缺乏内在驱动力的现实,本文对影响中职生英语学习动机的主客观因素做现状调查,并结合相关理论进行分析与研究。最后,提出提升学生英语学习动机的方法。
