Abstract:This thesis is to discuss the pronoun “it” in English, including its usages and translations. To make a detailed induction of the usages and translations of the pronoun “it”, it gives a complete example. With the combination of the searching data, we have found that the pronoun “it” has played a wide variety of roles in the sentence. The scope of the pronoun “it” is very broad in English, The pronoun “it” refers to the basic elements of the English expression, in addition to commitment to refer to function, but can also constitute a special structure and idiom.
