Abstract: This study aims to discuss the translation of subtitles in U.S. drama through theoretical analysis of slangs translation and analysis of lots of translation examples in the U.S. drama subtitles. The author introduces the tree main characteristics of slangs. They are informality, humor and timeliness. According to the examples of translation of slangs in U.S drama subtitles, this paper provides the principles of translation — loyalty, accuracy and accordance. At last, the paper explains the translation methods, which are transliteration, literal translation, free translation, noting and substitution.

摘要：本文通过字幕俚语翻译的理论分析，以及对热播美剧中字幕俚语翻译实例说明，探讨美剧字幕中俚语的翻译。文章介绍了俚语的三个主要特征——非正式性，幽默性，和时效性。作者有根据热播美剧字幕俚语翻译的实例说明，提出了字幕俚语翻译的原则，分别是忠实，准确，一致，并且到处字幕俚语翻译的方法，音译，直译，意译，替代等。
