Abstract:With the rapid development of society, internationalization and globalization have become more and more important. In order to ensure the instant exchange of information between people who speak different languages, interpretation career start to develop. Therefore, interpreters play a decisive role in affecting the quality of interpretation. As we all know, in the process of interpretation, note-taking is the main factor for the performance of the interpreters.
This paper aims to analyze the main difficulties in note-taking while interpreters are doing consecutive interpretation and tries to discover underlying causes for the difficulties. Finally, it provides some optimization schemes so that the interpreters can minimize difficulties in note-taking and improve the quality of interpretation.
