Abstract
A famous Chinese leader has once said, “The modernization of the country lies in the talent, the cultivation of talent lies in the family." （The family education is a kind of education practice of mankind, when people from all countries and nations consider the family as a person's first school, and parents are first teachers. In China or in Western countries, in both the past and now, home education plays a key role in learning. In recent years, Western education concepts have spread into China gradually. Facing the traditional as well as modern educational thoughts, many Chinese parents are at loose ends. Family education is of great importance to us, different education thought will result to different education method, and different education method will result to different education status, different education status will end with different influence on the growth of children. So the paper is going to make a research on the comparison between the eastern and western family education. With this comparison, the paper reveals the problems exist in Chinese family education, and propose some suggestions.
