Abstract
This dissertation is based on the application of the cooperative learning in English teaching in primary school. Firstly, it states the purposes, significance, definitions and the present situation of cooperative learning. Then it analyzes the problems of the cooperative learning. After that, it explains the reasons of these problems from three parts, including teachers, students and parents. Finally, it puts forward some ways to solve these problems. The most significance of this dissertation is to help students to improve English as much as possible. Cooperative learning is very important for English teaching in primary school.
