[摘要] 日月神话是中国古代神话中的重要组成部分。太阳神话和月亮神话的文化根源都是自然崇拜。太阳文化由于直率外倾和注重现实注重理性的基本倾向而显阳性特征，而月亮文化则由于其含蓄内向与注重理想注重情感的基本倾向而呈阴性特征。研究中国古代神话中的日月形象可以大致反映出原始先民对英雄人物的崇拜和女神形象在他们心理地位的变化。神话的象征及其演化与人类的精神活动和进化有着内在的联系。神话的本质是非理性的，但它却被理性意识所改造。

[Abstract] The sun and moon of myth is important part of ancient Chinese mythology. The sun and moon myth of the cultural roots are natural worship. The sun culture because frank rational basic tendency and pays attention to show positive features, but the moon is due within its reservation culture with attention to the basic tendency on emotional ideal and negative features. The study of Chinese ancient myths of the sun and the moon reflected original image can be roughly to the ancient hero worship and goddess image in their psychological status changes. Myth and evolution and human symbol of the spiritual activities and evolution has inner connection. Myth of the essence is irrational, but it is rational consciousness transformation.

神话尽管是由人们的想象、幻想构成，但它们都是以现实生活作基础的，是先民们克服自然，认识现实社会、精神、心理等因素的综合。神话是原始文化的结晶，它是文学和艺术的源泉，它体现出的思想理念已融入在民族的发展之中。无论时代的变迁，现代文化和现代思潮的冲击，传统的神话依然闪耀着夺目的光彩。
