摘 要
Exploring Leadership是一本旨在提高学生领导能力的教材。它综合运用文字、图表、表格等各种形式介绍了领导力的内容，开发自身领导力的方式，如何提高领导力，如何改变领导策略还有如何持续自己的领导风格等等的内容。此翻译原本选自第二部分“Exploring Your Potential for Leadership”中第五章“Understanding Others”的第150页的“Chapter Overview”，第156页的“Understanding Cultural Diversity”以及第167页的“Cultural Influences on Leadership Behavior”，还有177页的“Chapter Overview”。这几个节选的部分主要探讨文化对领导力的影响。本文以Exploring Leadership为翻译探讨的样本，对节选部分进行翻译、翻译手法对比与探讨，进一步研究这类文本的翻译方法，最后谈及翻译过程中遇到的问题和心得体会。

Abstract
Exploring Leadership is a teaching material for students to improve themselves in terms of leadership by using different forms such as words, graphs and charts to present the content and the ways of exploring leadership, the methods used to change and keep our leadership styles. The source text comes mainly from chapter 5 “Understanding Others”, and is listed as follows：“Chapter Overview” in Page 150, “Understanding Cultural Diversity” in Page 156，“Cultural Influences on Leadership Behavior” in Page 167, and“Chapter Overview”in Page 177. Those chosen parts above are relevant to cultural impact on leadership development，in which the translation methods can be explored and comparisons can be made so as to further develop the general ways to translate, to solve problems and to learn something about material of this kind.
