[摘要] 马尔克斯被誉为魔幻现实主义的巨擘，但他拒绝魔幻现实主义的桂冠，多次认真声明他是一个现实主义者。《霍乱时期的爱情》是作者近年创作的第一部专门描写爱情的小说。故而作品问世后, 引起了全世界文坛的注目。在作品中，作者完全摒弃了惯常采用的魔幻现实主义创作方法，而是选择了更接近于19世纪小说广泛运用的现实主义表现手法。但是，在经过后现代主义创作潮流的洗礼之后，这种表现手法又呈现出有别于传统现实主义的后现代现实主义小说的特征。

[Abstract] Marquez, Gabriel Garcia is known as the main representative of Magical Realism, but he refused to take the crown of magical realism. He has seriously declared that he is a realist. Love in the Time of Cholera is the first love story created by Gabriel Marquez. When published, the work has caught the whole literary world's attention. In this work, the author completely abandoned the usual magical realism creation methods, but chose more close to widely used technique of expression of realism of 19th century novel. However, after the baptism of the Postmodern Realism creation trend, this way of expression presents a different feature from the traditional realism.
