摘要:随着科学技术的进步，计算工具日益普及，我们今天所面临的问题是确定什么时候需要精确答案，什么时候仅仅估算就可以了，以及如何有效地利用估算来判断心算、笔算及工具计算结果的正误。由于我国小学数学教学历来只重视精确计算，所以教师缺乏估算教学的经验。新一轮课程改革已经从实验区开始逐步进入全面实施阶段，研究的重点已由确定课程改革的目的、制定新的课程标准、编写新的教科书，逐渐转移到新课程的教学实施上。
本文运用课堂观察、访谈等研究方法从教师和学生两个方面对我国小学估算教学进行了深入的研究，针对估算教学中存在的问题，提出一些建议。

abstract: With the progress of science and technology, computational tools are increasingly popular, the problems we face today is to determine when the precise answer, when only estimates, and how to effectively use estimates to determine the mental arithmetic, written calculation, and tools to calculate the results right and wrong. 在数学课程改革中，强调学习估算的必要性，认为估算应该加入到数学课程内容中，但并未明确提出如何加入。每个人都说估算是重要的，但我们似乎仍然只重视精确结果。进入21世纪，加强估算是《新课程标准》倡导的计算教学的重要理念之一，估算之所以被引入到数学学习领域中，因为它们顺应了时代发展，同时也对数学教育提出了新的要求。新课改后，估算教学首次明确进入我国数学课程，并成为数学课程标准中的9个核心词汇之一。在小学数学教学中，必须紧密结合培养估算意识、形成估算策略和养成估算的习惯，以此来培养小学生的数学素养，促进小学生的数学思考，利用估算能力，学生不但可以节省认知步骤，提高问题解决的效率，还可以帮助学生探索问题解决策略、估计结果的合理性与正确性，形成恰当的认知策略。
那么到底改变了什么呢?在新课程在小学实施完成一轮的今天，小学中年级估算教学的效果如何，取得了哪些成绩，存在哪些问题都是值得研究的问题，本论文研究了以下两个方面的问题:
(1)小学中年级数学教师是如何教估算的?包括如何认识估算及估算教学的重要性，如何进行估算教学，教给三四年级学生哪些估算的方法，对估算结果如何认识和评价；
(2)小学三四年级学生估算学得如何?包括如何认识估算，估算的准确程度如何，在估算中存在哪些错误，是否会运用估算解决实际的问题。
